The Cutest Little Dogs

If you ever chance upon one of these animals, you'll probably realize its kingly disposition right off. It shows off an air of polished and smooth energy, while retaining a agile and vigorous outlook on life. The German Shepherd has a long body, that is solid and healthy, radiating health and top form.

The German Shepherd exudes a look of almost majestic quality. This breed is tagged in having produced animals that are poised without being proud, frankly direct and without fear and yet are not unsociable, and sporting a stoic, less friendly approach toward people it does not consider family.

Once trust and a solid relationship are built, The German Shepherd is quite fond of children. He is a first class guard dog, and a faithful family companion: just the perfect choice for many families. If you're looking for a animal that has cleverness, strength and loyalty, perhaps a German Shepherd would be right for you!

Deutscher Schferhund, its original name, literally translates to German Shepherd Dog. Its main purpose was to help shepherds guide herds and protect sheep, hence it was given that name. In Germany's local communities in the 1800s, it was practical to breed dogs to preserve the traits that were vital in herding and protecting flocks from predators.

Dogs would be selected and bred according on the qualities that shepherds thought were needed for shepherding, namely the animal had to be smart, quick on its feet, and have a great sense of smell. The result of this practice produced dogs that did this task greatly, but looked different based on their locality, and their abilities differed as well. This was generally the trend for shepherds at the time.

German Shepherds are recognized by a willingness to learn and an eagerness to have a purpose. Because of these characteristics that make for a loyal protector and herder, it is also hailed as the worlds leading police, guard and military dog. Not only that, its a loving family companion, herder and show competitor.

When the word working dog is used, the image of a German Shepherd and its roles in helping police track down lawbreakers, guarding facilities, and patrolling troubled areas comes to mind. They're absolutely crucial in search and rescues, cadaver searches, and narcotics and explosives detection, to quote just several uses. Their keen noses and unique ability to work in busy, distracting environments like airports or shopping malls allows them to do all this.

With his tan and black or red and black coat and his dignified stance and bearing, the German Shepherds countenance is intelligent, keen and composed. They have a splendid outer coat that is close and dense, while their undercoat is thick and their tails are bushy, reaching to the hock. With this dog conveying understated strength and toughness, and being one of the smartest, most agile and hardest-working dogs out there, youd do well adopt a German Shepherd now and make the best choice for gaining both a protector and a friend.

In fact they are tagged officially in the US as the American Gentlemen of dogs. Their natural spirit, temperament, and character are seen as the real image of an American. So whenever people think of the name Boston Terrier, they imagine red, white, and blue.

Tracing back its genetic roots, would you believe that the Boston Terrier actually descended from the violent and vicious dog fighting breed " the Bull Terrier? Commonly, with this knowledge, you would expect the Boston Terrier to be as vicious and fierce. However, they came a long way the family tree and so all that fierceness and violence had been eradicated and they are now very peace loving, hate to fight, and love to make friends.

Boston Terriers are superbly sociable and they have this innate need to belong in a family. If you want to own one, be equipped with an extraordinary dedication and affection. This breed can not strive well in lonesome environments so try to surround them with a happy family.

With an disposition that only craves peace and love, we can easily see that the world will be torn out by wars but the spirit of the Boston Terrier will remain dignified.

There are many factors involved in training a puppy effectively, you can't just care for their physical needs. A puppy will also have emotional needs, showing them lots of love and affection is part of it but it does not end there. You need to learn about normal behavioral patterns and what type of training will result in a positive response from your new little companion. If you do your research and use proper training methods you will certainly see good results for all your hard work and have a friend for life.

Dogs would like you to believe that they are not really furry people. In fact they are not, but majority of them like, perhaps even pleased, to be treated as human beings. If you are one of the people, you will have a comfortable place to relax, delicious food to eat, and can demand attention and get it. And that is what most these dogs get and perhaps even in bigger measure than humans! And the pudding is, they have all the luxuries but absolutely no responsibilities " what a life!

Generally, it is OK to treat your dog like a person - but don't expect your dog to act like a person. Dogs just don't and can't think and act like humans. This is especially vital to remember when training a puppy. Just because a dog isn't like a human doesn't mean he isn't wonderful, but you do need to remember the differences with a new puppy. No matter what the breed, your puppy has the heart and spirit of a wolf buried inside him.

Dogs would also want you to know that they don't understand English. Until you teach them what a word means, they won't understand it even if you keep repeating it louder and louder. In nature, dogs aren't very vocal. This means that in obedience training, they won't understand words until it has been associated with the appropriate action many, many times over. English is a foreign language to them. It's both unfair and unrealistic to expect your puppy to respond to a command that he has not been properly taught.

After all puppies are puppies and without proper guidance, they would do just as puppies (or grown up dogs). Their basic slogan seems to be, eat if the food smells good and turn it over if it smells bad. When you know how the puppies are going to behave, the puppy obedience training can stop that distasteful behavior of the puppy and provide the necessary outlet to utilize the energy of your dog and his natural dog acts.

It is reasonable to expect regression at times during training, so don't let yourself get exasperated, your dog will know it and respond accordingly. You may have seen your dog follow the same command successfully many times , so it can be disappointing when failure strikes, but if you arm yourself with knowledge and plan ahead you can successfully work through any set backs your pup may have.

There are different hypotheses explaining the reason for learning regression in the puppy training process, or in any facet of life. Among the most popular of these is that regression takes place while the brain is transmitting data from short into long-term memory storage. Regardless of the cause, you can take advantage of it and see it as the training opportunity it really is.
