Teacup dogs are not an offically recognized breed so the term is a general description rather than a specific type of dog. You can get teacup Chihuahuas, teacup Yorkies and various other small dog breeds.

While not being officially recognized they are very popular with the general public who care little about the official position of these tiny little dogs.

Owners and admirers think they are wonderful little companions and you really can take them anywhere because they are so small and small as they are they will be there to protect you as best as they can. They still have the big dogs attitude and they can be brave and fearless friends.
