How To Train a Dog With Ease

Bringing home your puppy will be a joyful time but it can also be quite stressful. Especially if this is the first time you are trying to take care of a dog. There will be plenty of things to learn.

The first thing you need to do is to ensure that your new pet feels loved and secure in their new home. Talk to your dog in a gentle tone of voice and be sure not to yell at them, even when they do something you don't like. Yelling at your dog can make them afraid of you and leave them with mental scars; they may never look at you quite the same again! As soon as you can after bringing home your new puppy, you should go to dog training classes.

But there are other reasons that you would want to have your dog trained and it in reality it is not just your dog that needs training! You as the dog owner will also need training so that you know what the right way is and what the wrong way to handle a dog is.

You'll understand the need for training your puppy almost the minute you bring them home. Your new dog will be extremely energetic and will run all over the house, chewing on everything, possibly breaking things and peeing on the floor.

You'll learn a lot of useful things in dog training classes, such as which commands are the most effective and just as importantly, what tone of voice to use when giving your dog a command. You'll need to learn these things and practice them regularly? This will make your new dog a better behaved member of the family and while some puppy damage is almost inevitable, can prevent much of the damage your new dog may cause.

Every single day you will need to take your dog out for a walk. You will soon learn that you need to teach your dog to walk without pulling the leash and that it has to follow your directions.

Not being able to control your dog when going for a walk and especially if it is not held in a leash can have catastrophic consequences. If your dog sees a cat or a squirrel running across the road in front of it your dog will most likely want to chase it.

Being struck by cars is one of the leading causes of death among household pets, especially dogs. These accidents usually happen because the owner is unable to control the dog using commands? This is one of the reasons why training is so important for your new dog; it could literally be a life saver.

Pet vitality and well being is very important in order to have a happy and joyful Pet. As a dog owner you should spend enough time and energy in teaching your Pet and yourself the best ways to love and respect each other as you will hopefully be together for a long time.

How To Perfect Dog Ownership

1. Being to harsh with your dog and especially in its early years, will have severe consequences to the mental state of the dog. It will leave the dog feeling unwanted and unloved and it might even lead to a depression.

2. Do not make your dog overeat. To much food will hurt its physique and will make a major impact on its well being. As your dog gets fat from overeating it will lose its energy and joy and you'll end up with a fat, lazy and unhappy pet.

3. Food for humans and food for dogs and not the same thing. Many pet owners find themselves giving their dogs leftovers from the dinner table. It is not healthy for a dog to eat human food so instead you should go visit your VET to find out what the right food is.

4. Walking your dog on a daily basis is vitally important to satisfy the basic physical needs of your dog. Smaller dogs will need shorter walks and larger breeds and most above average size breeds will even need more walks per day.

5. Playing with your dog is not only important to the physique of the dog but it is also an important learning and training tool that will make your dog behave better and your dog and owner relationship will also improve.

6. Attend dog training classes to learn how to properly manage, train and get your dog obey commands. A dog needs to know who is in charge and it is important that you are that leader.

7. You must be sure to show your dog that you care for it and that it can feel secure and loved around your. Not only will it remain happier but it will also return your love ten-fold as you are its master and leader.

8. Showing your dog respect and fairness will go a long way. Your dog can sense much more than your think and if it feels that its leader respects it you can be sure that it will respect you back and be much more willing to follow your commands.

Pet vitality and well being is very important in order to have a fun and joyful Pet. As a pet owner you should spend enough time and energy in teaching your Pet and yourself the best ways to love and respect each other as you will probably be together for a long time.
